Hailing from Pretoria, South Africa - Chee has quickly become one of the most decorated and recognized producers in the South African bass music movement. Completely engulfing, intense, intricate and dark, his sound can be described as visceral, schizophrenic bass music. His talent hasn’t gone unnoticed across the borders of his home country, he has become a regular fixture on Noisia podcasts as well as releases on labels as diverse as Buygore and Close 2 Death.
The EP kicks off with Futile Condition. A textured intro complete with bird sounds lead into a pounding drop with a pulsating midrange hook. Next up is Sledge, where the arpeggiated intro makes way for a squelching bass workout with infectious stabs. Perfect Machine sees a collaboration with Counterstrike. A glitchy buildup leads to a slow and low drop with cheeky vocals and nutty edits. Martyrdom rounds off the EP. A dystopian half time intro opens up into hard breaks and tearing reese bass.
